I had a great day at the Tavistock Vintage and Textile Fair yesterday. One of my makes was bought to send to London and another to send to Australia! I had made a limited number of these special Memory Pocket Books - I only have these two left now. I bought the original pieces of fabric from Oxfam; I'm really pleased that I'm able to help charities through many of the things I buy to add to my textile pieces. While I was there, I was completing the sewing on some new brooches. They use vintage silk flower pictures that were given away in cigarette packets in the 1930s (hard to believe, now!) I've added the finishing touches with paper ephemera today - pictures will appear very shortly. There will be a limited edition of 50 and each is numbered. Very unique! I've also done a stock take today as I've sold lots of items at fairs recently. Those have been marked as 'sold' on the website. I'm planning on uploading new photos and items to the website this week - it's on the list! Meanwhile, I've been taking inspiration from wild flowers and natural things for new ideas. I've especially loved the bluebells in Milltown and Lantyan Woods this week - really beautiful. I had a great afternoon creating in The Bubble today and am feeling renewed and full of ideas. Other really exciting news is that in the next two weeks, I'm hoping to be supplying two more shops - one in Devon and one in Cornwall! Very exciting!
